Letter #1 mails out in December.
Subscribe by Nov 30.

How it works

It starts with a letter to a sister. The other answers next month.

You follow their stories one envelope at a time, wherever life takes them.

  1. By Nov 30

    You subscribe

$15 a month. Checkout takes a minute and you can cancel whenever you like.

  2. December

    Letter #1 goes out

One sister writes to the other about what's really going on in her life. A copy goes to you.

  3. January

    The reply arrives

The other sister writes back, and it's her turn to share. Every month the story picks up where the last letter left off.

What will land in your mailbox

  • The letter

This month's letter between the sisters.

  • A mail-in ballot

Weigh in on something one of us is deciding. The votes get counted, and you'll read what happened in the next letter.

  • Something extra

Stationery to write a letter of your own, or another small paper surprise that fits in the envelope.

It reads like a letter, because it is one.

Every letter is written to one sister, not to subscribers. You're reading over her shoulder, and that's why it works.

Dear Sister,

I'm so excited to send my very first letter. I think this is an amazing project, and I hope it fulfills all of your hopes and dreams.

Speaking of, I had a crazy dream last night...

Call

Call or text?

Text

Text, but I prefer FaceTime because you can see people's reactions.

Texting and FaceTime sometimes takes too long. Whichever is quickest, which is calling.

Ohhh, maybe I prefer call. When I'm in a rush, I just call somebody because I don't want to wait.

Exactly.

Early bird

Night owl or early bird?

Night owl

Early bird if I can choose. I hate feeling like the day has already been going by the time I get up, and I'm playing catch up.

Because I've done the whole early bird in pastry school, and I just end up getting so much more done at night.

Rainy

Sunny or rainy?

Sunny

Sunny because when the sun is out, it doesn't feel so sad. When it's raining, it feels like the world is crying.

The world isn't crying when it rains. Rain is good for crops. It washes dirty cars. I think it's nice and cool and often breezy.

Finish the book

Finish the book you don't like or move on?

Move on

I have to finish it or I'm going to think about it so much more.

I'd rather give up on it because I don't want to deal with it anymore than I've already dealt with it. But I give it time before I call it.

Be alone forever

Be alone forever or never have privacy again?

Never have privacy again

I would never have privacy again, hands down. You can get used to not having privacy. You won't get so embarrassed after a while, but if you're alone, that's rough.

You can get used to being alone. But I guess it depends on how alone. Do I still get to participate in society?

No. But you can go to the grocery store, except no one's there.

But I can just take stuff? Sure, I'll be alone forever.

Join the club

Get the story from the very first letter.

Orders placed by November 30 get letter #1, which mails in December. Every letter after that continues the story, so starting at #1 means you won't miss out.

Letter #1 mails if 10 people join by Nov 30. If we don't reach 10, everyone gets a full refund.

Frequently Asked Questions

Are these real letters?

Yes. Each month one sister writes the other about her life, and you receive a copy of that letter. Real life in real letters.

What will the letters look like?

Each sister writes her letter by hand. We scan it and print a copy for every member, so you see her real handwriting across 2 to 4 pages about her month.

Where do you ship?

Everywhere in the US.

What if I join after letter #1?

Your first envelope will be the next letter that mails. The letters build on each other, so joining by November 30 gets you the whole story.

What if you don't reach 10 members?

We'll start the club once 10 people have joined. If we don't reach 10 members by November 30, we'll refund every payment in full and cancel all subscriptions. Either way, we'll email you on December 1 to let you know.

What's the difference between the mailing list and subscribing?

Subscribing gets you a letter in the mail every month for $15. The mailing list is free and only sends the occasional email with updates from us, like when the club is confirmed. You can join the list now and subscribe later, but letter #1 only goes to people who subscribe by November 30.

How do I cancel?

Cancel anytime at Manage my subscription: enter the email you subscribed with and Stripe sends you a sign-in link. You keep any letter that has already mailed. The same page lets you update your mailing address or card.

Can I give it as a gift?

Yes. Enter their mailing address at checkout instead of yours and the letters go straight to them.
